Bespoke Pet Pawtraits

All Julie requires to create these remarkable pieces of art is a VERY CLEAR, HIGH QUALITY  head shot photo of your pet.

For best results ensure there is not too much light or shadow and in a pose you would like reproduced, the movement of the fur and eye content is extremely important.

Limited Edition Prints

Due to the significant demand for her work Julie has decided for a limited period to offer limited edition priints of some of her work.

These are high quality reproductions of the original commission numbered and signed by the artist

Partial Pawtraits

If you are interested in something a bit different we can also provide partial pawtraits.

As the name suggests these are partially completed pet pawtraits and have proven to be very popular

Our Process

Julie will begin the process of getting to know your animal. The character and personality can often been seen through their eyes, the windows to the soul, so she will always begin and end with their eyes. This is why it is so important to have a clear image.

A larger photocopy is made from your photo so then no detail or movement of fur will go unnoticed, this is the reason she needs a high quality image to work from.

Each Pawtrait is individual and due to the nature of the oil pastels she uses, she will do your painting on an A3 High grade pastel paper. As oil pastels are like large crayons, to capture all the detail she does, anything smaller would not be possible and still have the same detail. If you require other sizes other than A3 then this is still possible. Julie can get the original Pawtrait professionally scanned then made into reproductions of the size required or into cards.

Each Pawtrait takes a minimum of 80 to 160 hours to complete and will be professionally mounted ready for framing.

20% from each commission is donated to street animal charities around the world. Julie is passionate about helping any animal that is suffering and will help wherever she can.
